NATO Summit Protests Numbers Manipulated
Corporate News still can’t count when it comes to protest numbers.
Where I was (in Norfolk/Virginia Beach) the TV News that night only said a few hundred people took part in the protest and the next day it wasn’t even hardly newsworthy as the event wasn’t even mentioned until (Page 13 of The Virginian-Pilot). The newspaper did say that there were thousands of protesters, but yet did not even provide a photograph of give any hint as to how many thousands were involved.
Sadly the Press obviously is NOT free and is being heavily edited or perhaps this many upset people taking to the streets just doesn’t really matter or qualify as “news”. But even the most casual observer might have to think that someone in control of information flow is not telling truth, or at the very least manipulating the truth given to the public as this kind of action could be considered by many to be a deliberate lie by omission.
