Trump is No Jimmy Carter

Four years of peace (the USA not dropping bombs or launching missiles), when was the last time that happened? Carter lowered spending and reduced annual deficit. Championed human rights and began the USA’s path to energy independence (He even put solar panels on the White House). Oh yea and he helped negotiate the First peace agreement between Egypt & Israel and won the Nobel Peace Prize.

President Jimmy Carter

Different people do different things

After he was President he has had a great humanitarian record, with his work via the Carter Center, River Blindness, Habitat for Humanity, and the Atlanta Project etc.

Recently he has come out and said some very interesting things about the state of USA democracy.

Jimmy Carter during an interview with Thom Hartmann said this about the
2010 Citizens United Supreme Court decision that allows for unlimited money (including money from outside the USA) to influence USA political and judicial campaigns.

“It violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or being elected president. And the same thing applies to governors, and U.S. Senators and congress members. So, now we’ve just seen a subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect, and sometimes get, favors for themselves after the election is over. … At the present time the incumbents, Democrats and Republicans, look upon this unlimited money as a great benefit to themselves. Somebody that is already in Congress has a great deal more to sell.”

Video: What Has Jimmy Carter Been Doing Lately?:

In recent months Jimmy Carter has leased the use of his farmland for a solar farm to help power and create jobs local jobs in Georgia.

Trump on the other hand has been doing what exactly?
