Dan Larimer’s Master EOS Strategy?
Heaps of Hope for the EOS Mainnet and token?
Leaving block.one (B1) gives Dan Larimer freedom to do what he wants as a private citizen and EOS developer. He won’t have the same government restrictions/regulations that will be imposed upon B1.
Options for Dan include becoming a major influencer of governance of the EOSio software and holder of the EOS token he created. He could do this publicly as say the President of some sort of non-profit EOS foundation or think tank and/or as a “Voting Proxy” that publicly votes with the tokens of others for various block producers.
Dan could also do something pseudo-anonymously via personally owning significant amounts of EOS tokens, he is rumored to be a cryptocurrency millionaire/billionaire after starting 3 successful blockchains…no doubt he could afford to purchase a significant number of EOS tokens especially at today’s prices and vote with them as he pleased.
It is worth mentioning that unlike Charlie Lee that sold all his Litecoin (LTC) tokens— Dan Larimer has only walked away from block.one (and not sold any of his personal EOS token holdings).
Less bullish for EOS is the possibility of the morally wrong option (in the eyes of many) for Dan Larimer is to just walk away from everything EOS and develop Dapps for a new unrelated blockchain after so many previously supported his EOS ICO and during the falling token price afterwards.
Going forward Dan was only one of 300 employees at block.one. B1 will continue to produce and release new blockchain products (such as ProFi) and their 4 billion dollar war chest has now more than doubled with the increasing value of their company treasury of Bitcoin (BTC) holdings.
